A rainy day

I thought I'd just put up a quick little post.
The weather is absolutely miserable today and I love it! It had been 5 days since 'Ruahthimpui' came. The weather hasn't been good since. Not complaining tho'.

I am not so much of a rain-person. Had always keep the summer sun close. But this year, it is different. I feel somewhat different. There is something about the rain that i find so comforting. It seems like the thirst of earth has been quenched.
I absolutely adore the smell of the rain. The wet soil seems more lovable today than any other day. I find it to be calming.
Warm and cozy. Cuddle weather, some people would say :))

My morning starts at 6. I sit on our balcony with a cup of green tea in my hand, wrap myself in a warm blanket and watch the rain pouring. The plants on the rail look green and lush. The road seems slippery but i find it adorable. I would like to go for a walk on a rainy day sometimes. The sound that the rain makes when it shatters on the roof of homes is so peaceful. I love that sound. It makes me want to go back in bed lol. The dark clouds drift slowly over the city. How lovely!

I love every part of rain. From when it's about to fall to when it makes the world shiny and clean.
These past few months have not been so good to me but the weather dramatically changes my mood. I feel warmth and comfort. 
Quiet, peaceful, beautiful!

So, get creative, get silly, enjoy the rain while it lasts. For the rain will stop pouring and the sun will shine once again <3
